Painted Rain is the one act play that we performed for the Regional One Act Play Competition, where we won runner-up. Ervin Richard received the All-Star Cast award, and Timeyin Mabiaku took home the Best Actor award for his performance!!
Painted Rain by Janet Allard explores the relationship between two boys in an orphanage, on the verge of being separated by adoption. The younger boy, an energetic non-conformist, tries desperately to draw out his older roommate, who is an aspiring painter confined to a wheelchair that he refuses to relinquish for leg braces. Both boys strive to live life the way they want to live it and make their own choices, despite the external pressures and expectations of a well-meaning social worker. As the impending separation nears, these two “almost brothers” struggle to break through their alienation and isolation to find companionship and connection.
Click on the Tickets link to purchase tickets! We can’t wait to see you!
The lobby will be open at 6:00 and the show will start at 7 p.m.
When: Friday, February 5 at 7:00 PM Eastern Time This will be a limited seating performance.

Dear fans, as of right now all future productions (and the Character Social) are postponed until a future date.
Plot Summary:
Winner of five Tony Awards, The Drowsy Chaperone is a loving send-up of the Jazz Age musical, featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another.
With the house lights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.
Hailed by New York Magazine as “The Perfect Broadway Musical,” The Drowsy Chaperone is a masterful meta-musical, poking fun at all the tropes that characterize the musical theatre genre.
